Our forestry partners
At Carbon Forestry, we work in association with a number of other forestry organisations to achieve real, measurable results.
Central government funding reductions and an over-complicated England Woodland Creation Grant Scheme (EWGCS) has severely suppressed the UK new woodland market. Plus there's been a 40% reduction in new planting over the last five years in non-Forestry Commission woodlands (Forestry Commission National Statistics 2006).
Here are some of the organisations we work with:

Woodland Trust
Woodland Trust is the UK's largest woodland charity, dedicated solely to the protection of our native woodland heritage.

National Forest Company
The National Forest Company leads the creation of The National Forest - a new, wooded landscape across 200 square miles of central England.

Forestry Commission
As the government department responsible for forestry in England, Scotland and Wales, and the largest single woodland manager in Britain, the Forestry Commission has a huge amount of responsibility for woodland in the UK. Together with colleagues in the Northern Ireland Forest Service, they manage over 800,000 hectares of woodland in the UK - that's 30% of the total woodland.
